Ice Skating
We are proud to provide the Learn to Skate USA curriculum for our classes. We teach the fundamentals of ice skating while building confidence and skills through each lesson. The progressive curriculum ensures success from the first steps on the ice to the mastery of advanced skills.
Youth Lessons
- Ice Tots (Beginner & Intermediate/Advanced) classes are recommended for ages 4 – 5.
-
The Beginners class is for students who need to learn the Snowplow Sam skills, but are age 6 or older.
- Freestyle 1- 5 classes are recommended for ages 6 and up.
Semi-Private Lessons
Semi-private lessons are available in both Ice Tots and Basic 1 - 5 levels. These lessons have a maximum of 4 students. Each lesson includes 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of free practice time either prior to or after your lesson. Our instructors are experienced in either figure skating or hockey skating skills.
What to Wear
-
Children should dress warmly (jackets, hats, mittens, etc.) because the arena is cold.
-
Helmets are REQUIRED for Ice Tots skaters and highly recommended for all other skaters.
-
Wear either leather hockey or figure skates, but please no double bladed skates.
If parents/guardians are wearing skates, you may join your child during the 30 minutes of practice time, but not during the lesson time. Nobody is allowed on the ice without skates.
